History Tuition
Mrs George will be teaching history for ages 6 to 16 (GCSE). Lessons will be on Tuesdays at 4.00 pm for primary children and at 5.45 for secondary level. Mrs George has over fifteen years of experience teaching history and is very passionate about her subject. Many schools do not teach history to great depth and as a result a lot of children are ignorant about important historical events and characters. History is an important subject as children need to understand and make sense of the world today. For example, we found few children have heard of Oliver Cromwell or George Washington. Fewer still know who the Vikings were and what the Cold War was.
As history is not a compulsory subject at school we have designed our Primary History Curriculum to concentrate on British and European History whilst the Secondary Curriculum will be a top-up on what your child is studying at GCSE.
